Let it be hereby cried that Sir John Strother, soon to depart on campayne in servyce to the Earl of March in Bretagne and France, seeks likely menne at armes, archers, engyneeres, cooks, servants, squires, joyners, smythes, and alle manner of retinue proper to conduct warre to accompany him in the servyce of said Earl of March across the channel.


Those persons desiring prompt payment for servyces rendred and other profits of war should seek them any paymaistre displaying the sign of the Compaigniye du Chalis, that is to say Argent, a Cross of Sainte George gules, over all a Chalis, or, and sign an indenture.
